THE BAND
Rachel is the songwriter, lead vocalist, and band leader of Lightning Rose. With a bachelors degree from the Berklee College of Music, and performances with Jefferson Starship, George Clinton, and others, Rachel has been put through the ringer musically. Her powerful vocals are reminiscent of early Grace Slick, with a splash of Anne Willson.
Greg is an incredible musician best known for his many years spent recording and touring with George Clinton and P-Funk. Greg’s influence and incredible horn work can be heard on “Electric Leash” as well as live adaptations of many “Lightning Rose” songs.
Donny Baldwin
Donny Baldwin is a true legend of drumming. He has drummed on numerous iconic recordings, including Elvin Bishop’s “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” and Starship’s “We Built This City.” His rock solid grooves, sharp ear for production, and thrilling vocal arrangements are the foundation of “Lightning Rose.”
With 20 years of touring with Jefferson Starship under his belt, as well as performances with (among many others) The Temptations, Roger Miller, Lou Bega, and 30 years of writing music for television, Chris is a wizard on the keys. His flourishes and details help mold the “Lightning Rose” sound.
Lewis Robertson is a guitarist, producer, and engineer with extensive recording and performance experience. Lewis’s influence brings an edge to the “Lightning Rose” sound.
